Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship

 

Stanford University School of Medicine, Division of Emergency Medicine is excited to announce a new one-year fellowship opportunity in Emergency Medicine  administration.  This fellowship is ideal for board eligible or board certified EM residency graduates with a strong interest in obtaining direct experience in all areas of emergency medicine administration.  Fellows in the program will be appointed as clinical instructors at the Stanford University School of Medicine, and will balance clinical shifts in the Stanford Hospital Marc and Laura Andreessen Emergency Department with participation in committees and projects related to quality, operations, process improvement, Lean management, billing/coding, change management. Fellows will also participate in didactics related to the Stanford Operating System/Lean Management as well as other formal physician leadership training series throughout the year. This is an ideal start to building a foundation to help shape future emergency medicine healthcare leaders.  For application requirements or inquiries about this program, please contact Sam Shen, MD, MBA, FACEP at sshen01@stanford.edu. The deadline for submission is December 1, 2014.
