Subject: BIDMC Fellowship in Disaster Medicine Research Project
This has been approved for distribution by the CORD Board of Directors.
Our disaster medicine fellowship is conducting a survey study in the United States and internationally to assess the level of disaster medicine and management education in emergency medicine residencies today.
We would appreciate it if both you as the residency program director and one of your chief residents would take the time to fill out this online survey.
It takes 5-7 minutes to fill out.
We do ask that before you complete the survey you assess what educational opportunities you offer at your residency so you may answer the questions completely.
Please use the free-text areas to add any information you feel is relevant.
The goals of this study are two-fold:
1) To identify what educational opportunities exist in emergency medicine residencies in disaster medicine/management.
2) To help build curriculum that may work across all residencies to provide a common knowledge base.
Please find the link below. You may send the same link to your chief resident as a resident representative.

Thank you for your time and participation in our study. We hope that your participation will help expand the growing field of disaster medicine education and physician response.
Kind Regards,
