Subject: Medical Education Fellowship in New York City - unexpected vacancy

Hello CORD members,

Due to a change in circumstance, we have an unexpected opening for a Medical Education Fellow for this coming July. This will be the third year of our successful Education Fellowship program.

The cornerstone of this two
-year fellowship is a Master of Medical Education degree, fully funded by the department (the first two fellows have chosen to complete their master degree through the University of Southern California). Other funded activities include completion of the ACEP Teaching Fellowship, travel to CORD and ACEP conference, and travel to any major regional/national conference at which the fellow is presenting. The fellow has protected time for all teaching activities and for attendance of master's classes, and the fellow is contracted as a half-time attending with opportunities for moonlighting.

Maimonides is an urban ED with over 11
8,000 visits per year, 45 EM 1-3 residents, and nationally recognized excellence in resuscitation of stroke, MI and pneumonia. We are a dynamic residency highly interested in cutting-edge and evidence-based education techniques. Our conference is composed of small-group interactive sessions with asynchronous learning, interactive online educational software, deliberative practice, reflective writing and milestone-based evaluation. We also have a new state-of-the-art simulation center with opportunities for simulation work. The new fellow will have the opportunity to continue to shape the curriculum and add innovative insight.

This is an extremely high-yield fellowship with the opportunity to "make it your own" -with a built-in degree and the city of New York in your backyard. We welcome your questions and interest, and we look forward to corresponding with you and any of your interested residents/faculty
.  Interested applicants can email me directly.  Please see our website for additional information:
