University of Illinois at Chicago Emergency Medicine Simulation and Medical Education Fellowship

 

The University of Illinois Simulation and Medical Education Fellowship is designed for Emergency Medicine physicians interested in pursuing a career in academic emergency medicine and to provide advanced training in simulation based medical education as well as a foundation in medical education theory and practice. Simulation focuses on medical education in the context of simulation laboratories for faculty, residents, medical students nurses and pre hospital providers. The UIC Simulation Fellowship equips Fellows to develop, implement and evaluate simulation-based educational programs including the use of simulation modalities such as high-fidelity mannequins, task trainers and standardized patients. Applicants will have the opportunity to pursue some of their own areas of interest within the scope of the fellowship.

Fellowship is one year and/or two years in length with the 2-year program integrating a Masters of Health Professions Education (MHPE).
